Omar Shama is an Egyptian filmmaker whose screenwriting credits include AFTER THE BATTLE (2012), co-written with director Yousry Nasrallah and premiered in the Official Competition of the Cannes Film Festival, and ROAD 18 (2008), which was a commercial success.
He also wrote HAJJAN (2024), by Abu Bakr Shawky, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, and co-produced RAGS AND TATTERS (2013), by acclaimed independent filmmaker Ahmed Abdallah.
QUARSHIE (2025), a short film, marks his directorial debut.
